Starlet Online Betting - A Starring Role

Posted by Brian Mulligan on 12/6/2012 5:27:45 PM

What: Hollywood Starlet
Who: Executiveprivilege (key on top with Midnight Ballet and Blonde Fog)
Where: Betfair Hollywood Park
When: Saturday, December 8

Some of the best juvenile fillies in the West will pit skills Saturday in the mile and a sixteenth Starlet at Betfair Hollywood Park and there are plenty of options for online sports betting site players to think about.

The Grade 1 event offers a $500,000 purse so the runners will have the game faces on.

Jerry Hollendorfer has saddled the winner of this race two of the last three years and last season Killer Graces came off a second in a $100,000 stakes but sat about 3 lengths off the lead before cashing by a half length at 14-1 with a 81 Beyer.

Hollendorfer is looking for that déjà vu feeling with Scarlet Strike. This miss graduated at Del Mar for her lone score but she is coming off a career Beyer when she was third in the Sharp Cat. The thing about babies like this is they are improving hourly.  This miss came from 17 back in her only win and that tends to put her behind the 8 ball turning for home.

Executiveprivilege will be trying to make amends for failing as the chalk in the BC Juvenile Fillies. That was her first loss in 6 starts and she just could not collar the lone speed Beholder that day but was tons best of the rest.

She won her first two races at this venue for Bob Baffert, has trained well since and is clearly the one to beat.

Baffert will also be represented in this race by Blonde Fog, who broke onto the racing scene routing at Santa Anita and she just hid from her field winning by 12 and a half-lengths with a 83 Beyer. She is out of a minor double stakes winner but if you go deep into her betting sites pedigree you’ll find Grade 2 winner and over $300,000 earner Crowned.

Midnight Ballet was locked and loaded for her local debut at Hollywood when she came from 5 back to win the $100,000 Sharp Cat for trainer Tom Proctor. She has limited speed and things need to break just right for her to succeed.

Renee’s Titan gave Midnight Ballet a run for her money but she only has cashed once and that was only at 4 and a half furlongs. Her only poor effort came in a Grade 1 but she has some things to prove.

Pure Fun was troubled in her only stakes try but she rebounded nicely with a win in a $75,000 optional at Churchill last month. The thing she will have to prove is that she can handle the Cushion Track. Garrett Gomez is enticed.

Miss Empire has to find a way to turn back the clock on Executiveprivilege, who beat her handily now several times.

Rhodium will break from the outside. She was on a pretty soft lead in the Sharp Cat and still had to hail the taxicab.

When the gates open look for Blonde Fog to gun and try to steal it. There is not much speed in here and Rhodium may be closest early on.

As they take closer order at the top of the lane Executiveprivilege will assert herself after running third or 4th early and will be able to hold off Fog and Midnight Ballet at the wire. Use those two in the gimmick.

Good luck with your online horse betting.
