What: Horse Racing Betting Tips –  Governor’s Handicap
Who: Thoroughbreds – Ain’t No Other (key on top)
Where: Fairplex
When: Wednesday September 19

Sometimes to sharp handicapping skills online sports betting players should look outside the box a bit so let’s take a look at Wednesday’s Governor’s Handicap at Fairplex, a 5-furlong oval with a unique perspective.

Back in the day, this meet was a venue for the smaller barns to pad their collective wallets but with simulcasting came big bucks and $50,000 will be on the line in this 6 and a half-furlong stakes.

Nine will be facing the starter and the Bob Baffert  rail runner Tweebster will be trying to snap a slump. He has not won since 2010 and although he has never won a stakes, he proved his class when 2nd beaten a nose in the Grade 2 Strub last year.

Legal Separation was 5th in this race last year but snapped an online betting slump winning by a neck last out in a $40,000 claimer.

Charlie’sboywins is ambitious placed as just a $16,000 claiming winner and he has never won a stakes.

L. A. Weekend was fried in a duel in his Del Mar finale but has the very important winning prep over this tricky surface.

Close to the Edge has been a very coveted claimer, was 2nd a head in the only try at this venue and was hung wide in his last race. Does he really like the track? The answer is yes and he posted a best of the morning drill here just 10 days ago.

Connections of Clubhouse Ride are hoping that lightning can strike twice. The winner of this race last year, Carbonite, was also coming off and out of the money run in the Pirate’s Bounty at Del Mar but he rebounded in a big way by inching away late in this race winning with a 95 Beyer.

Ain’t No Other gets the services of the king of Fairplex, Martin Garcia. The runner has two races under his girth now, has won multiple stakes, and just lost a heart breaker in a $66,000 stakes when beaten by a horse that came back to win next out.

Candy’s Sunrise has only run poorly once and was trouble that day but is giving away a lot of experience.

Baffert runners bookend the field as Indian Firewater will be the last to enter the starting gate. The pro has been stopping of late and was out of the money in the only attempt at this distance.

Ain’t No Other brings natural speed to the party but he has proven he can sit just off the pace and succeed. He was flattered when the horse that just beat him returned to cash as the favorite with a 100 Beyer in a $40.3K NC allowance race.

Formerly in the good hands of Steve Miyadi, Jerry Hollendorfer will saddle today and the gelding has trained cleverly for this race. Key on top and hope for value in the gimmicks.

Good luck with your online horse betting.
